Archimedes Drive receives Take-Off phase II funding
The board STW honors twenty proposals for the fourth round of the Take-off financing.
Researchers can apply for Take-off funding to enable new economic activity, and thus scientific knowledge commercially applied. Take-off is in two parts: Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 Funding is intended to carry out a feasibility study for a commercial activity. The maximum grant awarded in Phase 1, is 40,000 euros. Phase 2 funding to researchers for their start-up setting an early stage project. Funding for this consists of up to 250,000 euros.
Haptics lab spin off IMSystems will use the 250,000 to further validate the performance of the Archimedes drive in real robotics applications.
