David keynote at HFES
David Abbink was invited for the keynote lecture at the annual conference of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society – Europe Chapter. He spoke about the need to think systemically about human-robot interaction, and presented several solutions based on key insights from research by his team, such as symbiotic driving.
The conference was held in Nantes (France), organized by shared control colleague Franck Mars. The theme of this year was “Understanding Human Behavior in Complex Systems”, and the conference featured presentations and posters on a wide range of disciplines in human factors and ergonomics (e.g., highly automated driving, healthcare, industrial human factors and neuroergonomics).
