Patrice and Teun presented at Parallel 2014
Organized only once every six years, Parallel 2014 brings together the leading researchers in the field of parallel robotics, and both Patrice Lambert and Teun Hoevenaars were allowed to present their work during this special workshop.
Patrice presented a nice overview of the fundamental aspects of parallel robots with configurable platforms, which was the central theme of his PhD thesis. Teun presented a novel, analytical stiffness analysis for parallel manipulators. Teun’s presentation was set up for the occasion in Prezi, and can be accessed using this link.
Both works were received very well at this special workshop that took place 7-8 July in Tianjin, China. The workshop takes place roughly every six years and was the third in a series that was initiated by Professor ClĂ©ment Gosselin from Laval University. As part of a research exchange, Teun will stay at Prof. Gosselin’s laboratory from Sep. 1 to Dec. 19 of this year.
