The effect of roadside furniture on driving behaviour

Abstract

In this master thesis project the effect of different kinds or roadside furniture on driving behaviour will be investigated. Through the application and implementation of head mounted display (HMD) based virtual reality (VR) in a fixed base driving simulator to test whether perceived risk of roadside furniture influences driver’s chosen safety margins.
