Timo to the ACAI Summer School on Reinforcement Learning in Nieuwpoort
In October Timo went to a 10 day summer school on Reinforcement Learning (RL) organized by the Vrije Universeit Brussel, TU Delft, and University of Liverpool. This summer school covered the basic introduction to RL, as well as more advanced topics, as it is exactly these more innovative subjects which have resulted in the recent successful applications of RL in areas such as robotics and computer games.
With great lecturers from the field such as Hado van Hasselt (Google Deepmind) and Jan Peters (Max Planck institute for intelligent systems) and +90 students from 32 different countries, it was not only very useful but also a lot of fun.
