Nienke joined the Delft Haptics Lab as an MSc student in winter 2013, after finishing an internship at Philips. After that she seized the opportunity to do a challenging additional internship at Entropy Control, in San Diego (USA); where she worked on system identification techniques for glaucoma patients.
She started with her literature study in September 2014, investigating literature about haptic guidance that adapts as a result of neuromuscular measurements.
Nienke graduated cum laude in December 2015, on her thesis about neuromuscular adaptations to road-width and steering wheel stiffness.
