Joris will investigate in his master thesis project the effect of different kinds or roadside furniture on driving behaviour. Through the application and implementation of head mounted display (HMD) based virtual reality (VR) in a fixed base driving simulator to test whether perceived risk of roadside furniture influences driver’s chosen safety margins.
