Luca Profumo joined the Delft Haptics lab as an exchange student from the University of Pisa, from the group of Lorenzo Pollini. After graduating cum laude, he moved to Turin, where he now is a driver assistance systems specialist at Fiat Group Automobiles.
Here an excerpt from his biography:
“From 2005 to 2009 I studied Electronics Engineering at University of Catania. I got the Bachelor’s degree with a research project on autonomous navigation of mobile robots for precision farming applications.
In 2009 I transferred to study Robotics and Automation Engineering at University of Pisa. I graduated in 2012 with a research project on lane keeping systems carried out at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands within the Erasmus program. In 2013 I finally moved to Turin where I currently live.
My main personal interests are sports (fitness, in-line skating, soccer, swimming…), traveling, languages and reading.”
