After an internship at MIT and ECI, Mauro graduated cum laude on his MSc thesis in august 2009. His thesis was nominated for the Spykerprijs for best automotive thesis. Also, a patent was filed on the research ideas generated during his thesis.
Subsequently, he worked for Erwin Boer at his company ECI. Currently Mauro works as a researcher at Nissan Motor Corporation in Silicon Valley.
