In 2019, Yohei visited the Delft Haptics Lab from Japan, as an exchange MSc student for a year. He focused on mixed-methods research: combining quantitative analyses with qualitative analyses (from social sciences), to deepen our evaluation methodologies for haptic shared control systems.
Part of his work was used for the real-world evaluation for symbiotic driving, in collaboration with Nissan, Japan.
